Official Visit by Sharjah Sports Council to Sharjah Falconers Club
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Hamid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, along with H.E. Mohamed Obeid Al Hossan, Secretary-General of the Council, paid an official visit to the Sharjah Falconers Club, where they were received by H.E. Mohammed Khalifa Al Badwawi, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, along with board members.
The club welcomed the visit, which reflects the Council’s commitment to enhancing the status of falconry and preserving its authentic heritage. During the visit, the delegation toured the club’s facilities, including the administrative building, veterinary clinic, and Al-Maqeed, and were briefed on the services provided, falcon care practices, and efforts to develop an integrated environment that supports falconers.
The visit included a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the افتتاح of the new championships building, a qualitative addition that enhances the club’s ability to host events and competitions, and supports its plans to advance operations and elevate falconry according to best practices.
The meeting also covered several topics related to institutional and investment development, including a review of the club’s investment projects and an emphasis on implementing best governance practices, as well as improving administrative and technical performance in line with sustainable development goals in the sports sector.
Additionally, the delegation reviewed the club’s latest cultural publications, most notably the book “Al-Maqeed,” which serves as a valuable contribution to documenting falconry heritage and passing it on to future generations as part of the club’s cultural initiatives.
